The city of Richardton, ND has a population of 692 at the 2020 census.
They currently have 12 inches of sludge in cell 1 at a pH level of 8.3. They
have been trying to use the addition of quantities of bug to help with the
issue for the past 2 years. The cell is 5.1 acres, with 6.64 million gallons
storage at 9 ft. currently kept around 5ft.
Shallow-Flo Solution!
Increase mixing and circulation as a means of adding oxygen in the upper 1/3rd of the cell
while increasing wind and wave action and reducing sludge volume.
Accelerate the rate of BOD reduction while reducing algae levels, reducing pH and
increasing volatilization of NH3 to the atmosphere.
Improve fall and spring discharge options through better winter processing and thereby
making system management easier and more efficient.
